Lifting of most loads requires some form of Lifting Sling(s), and depending on the type of load, the environment, its size and weight, there are many different variations in design and material from synthetic webbing to steel wire ropes.
Synthetic Slings such as Webbing and Round Slings are the most frequently used slings in our industry with many smaller sized slings considered disposable due to their low replacement cost, synthetic slings are usually made of 100% polyester or 100% nylon and are manufactured to the stated working load limit which alike with all lifting equipment- should never be exceeded. Usually sold as single slings, synthetic slings are often sewn with rigging hardware such as hooks, shackles and materlinks to add additional legs and lifting points. Our manufacturers make synthetic slings up to 500T.

Steel Wire Rope Slings are extremely common rigging in the USA, frequently used on and offshore, Wire Rope Slings can lift some of the heaviest loads up to 2448T and account for lifting some of the worlds largest bridges and structures, whilst smaller variations are used for everyday rigging. All of our Wire Rope Slings are proudly made here in the USA. Our range of Wire Slings offers single body and multiple leg ‘bridle’ type assemblies that can be specified to include various type of rigging such as thimbles, hooks, crescents, shackles, whilst multiple leg slings are suspended from a top master link.
Wire Mesh slings- commonly used in steel plants and metalworking factories for the quick and easy rigging and lifting of coils and steel as well as precast concrete objects.
Chain Slings, although less frequently used in the USA are still a very common type of Lifting Sling. Available with a single or multiple leg configuration terminated in an array of different fittings such as the classic sling hook, self-locking hooks, swivel hooks and more. A clear advantage of lifting chains is the ability to specify ‘shorteners’ or ‘grab hooks’ which enable the operator to shorten each leg of chain exactly as appropriate to ensure a safe lift.
