Introducing: Crosby Speedbinders

At Lifting Equipment Store USA, we are proud to announce the new range of Speedbinders from The Crosby Group. These binders are a revolution in load securement, leaving traditional ratchet load binders of yesteryear in the dust!

With this step forward in hauling equipment, securing a load to a flatbed truck or trailer has never been faster, and the loads have never been so tightly bound and secure. Rather than using up hours of your time and gallons of elbow grease tightening load binders and chains with a ratchet, Speedbinders are operated with the use of a cordless drill. This allows you to be absolutely certain that whatever you are binding down for your haul is as secure as it could possibly be, and in record time.

HOW THEY WORK

These babies pride themselves on being THE fastest load binders in the world. The process of securing a load with these is as simple as positioning your chain links into the binder hooks tightly by hand, then using a drill with an adapter to tighten the drive bolt, and then you’re ready to roll with the confidence that you won’t lose anything on your way. On arrival to your location, loosening your chains is as simple as reversing the process with the cordless drill, and detaching the chains at the hooks.

Using a good electric drill should allow you control over the torque used in the tightening process, meaning you can adjust based on the amount of tension required per load.

Remember though, using impact from ¼ inch upwards with your cordless drill will cut the lifespan of your Speedbinders and bolts down, and using ½ inch impact will void the bolt and the unit's warranty, so always treat your Speedbinders with the love and respect that they deserve!

WHY?

Oftentimes we can spend long, arduous, and tricky periods of time, tightening load binders manually, pushing harder and harder for that last notch, and on arrival, we can see our haul has become loose, or worse lost in transit. Going over bumps in the road comes with the job, and manually fitted traditional methods can become loosened with only a little encouragement, a problem solved.

These Load Binders are such great pieces of truck equipment to have on hand, as they save you time and allow for work to be completed far more effectively and efficiently, while also protecting you from potential injuries over time. Those who work in trucking, and regularly tie down loads manually understand the strain that ratchet-based load binding can have on your shoulders and other joints, so an investment in some of these beasts could benefit your personal health and wellbeing in a big way.

The nature of the Speedbinders is that it allows for tightening and securement to be done even in the most awkward of positions. The drill-operated bolt allows for a full rotation and range of motion in the tightening process, even in places where a manual tightening might be restricted to only quarter rotations or less.

Now that we grasp how it is that the Speedbinders work, let’s take a look at the range we stock at the Lifting Equipment Store USA.

WHAT WE STOCK

The range is simple to understand, with it being a collection of a few models that work the same way, except for the differences in their capacities and chain compatibility. The right unit for you will be determined by the weight and size of the loads you are regularly transporting. We also stock drive bolts, which can be easily fitted within 5 minutes, and are good for around 2000-3000 cycles before they need replacing.

Now that we understand what the Speedbinders are, and what they can do, let’s take a closer look at the range itself.
